About Pat Brown

Pat Brown, MBA, is a dedicated advocate for financial literacy in the sports community, focusing on the unique financial challenges and opportunities facing student-athletes, college coaches, and professional athletes. A former student-athlete himself, Pat played football for the University of Kansas, where his team achieved a national ranking as high as 6th in the nation. As team captain in his senior year, Pat’s leadership on and off the field shaped his approach to discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong commitment to financial empowerment.

Following a brief stint in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Pat returned to the United States and embarked on a career as a financial advisor. His journey through the world of sports and finance led him to recognize a critical gap in financial knowledge for athletes, especially as they navigate complex financial decisions early in their careers. This realization ignited Pat’s passion for educating others on essential financial skills that serve as a foundation for long-term success.

Pat Brown – University of Kansas Football

Pat Brown was a standout player for the University of Kansas Jayhawks football team from 1994 to 1999. Known for his leadership and relentless work ethic, Pat made a significant impact both on and off the field. During his time with the Jayhawks, the team achieved a national ranking as high as 6th in the nation, a testament to the program’s success during his tenure.

In his senior year, Pat was selected as team captain, a role that reflected his dedication, leadership, and respect among teammates and coaches. Throughout his collegiate career, Pat earned several accolades, including:

  • Big 12 Conference All-Academic Team honors for his excellence both as a student-athlete and in the classroom.
  • Honorable Mention All-Big 12 recognition for his outstanding performance on the field.
